The formula one racing event is a popular sporting event with fans and viewers across the globe. The races occur across five continents and involve a number of formula one racing cars that compete against each other. Teams also compete against each other and so do various car manufacturers.

All that aside, I think one of the most exciting moments in formula one racing is the race itself. One of the most exciting races is the Canadian Grand Prix. This event is usually held in June, right at the beginning of summer. The city usually comes to a stand still as locals as well as fans from around the world descend on the city. There are exhibition races, street parties, driver interviews and appearances and the entire city of Montreal sets in to a carnival mood.

Another great destination for formula one racing is Bahrain. The Bahrain International Circuit is a modern facility and just recently became part of the formula one international circuit. This modern facility is so enchanting and viewing the circuit and other attractions in Bahrain is always awesome.

A third great city is Sao Paulo in Brazil. This race takes place in late autumn, early in November. The excitement here is similar to the famous Rio Carnivals. Fans usually turn out in great numbers and are very enthusiastic about their great drivers and their famous samba dance.

In a Formula 1 race, it is over in under 10 seconds flat, and drivers can reach over 200 mph in no time at all. In Nascar, although they maintain speeds of 140 to 160 the entire race, and higher, the length of the races are several hundred miles long. So, the fan base does differ, depending on the type of speed, and the type of race the fans love. Of course there are also differences in the cars, the drivers, and the tracks, but the major difference is the style of race.

No matter which race you prfer, Formula 1 or Nascar, there is no denying that these racers reach unattainable speeds, in the shortest time periods, and that there is a certain thrill to both sports. So, whether you love or hate both, or either of these sports, there is no denying that they can give you a rush when you watch the races live.
