Current NASCAR standings for the 2011 year listed in the order the driver is ranked, all with 26 starts, scored by total points, wins, Top Five and Top 10 finishes. Leading the pack as of September 22, 2011 is Kyle Busch with 2012 points, four wins, 13 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes. Busch is closely followed by Kevin Harvick who has 2012 points, four wins, 7 top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes. In third place is Jeff Gordon who has 2009 points with three wins, 10 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes who is closely followed by Matt Kenseth who has 2006 points, two wins, 7 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes. Rounding out the top five Nascar leading drivers is Carl Edwards with 2003 points, one win, 12 top five and 17 top 10 finishes. Currently Nascar is the second most commonly watched televised sporting series in the United States, second only to football.
