In third place is Jeff Gordon who has 2009 points with three wins, 10 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes who is closely followed by Matt Kenseth who has 2006 points, two wins, 7 top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes. Rounding out the top five Nascar leading drivers is Carl Edwards with 2003 points, one win, 12 top five and 17 top 10 finishes. Currently Nascar is the second most commonly watched televised sporting series in the United States, second only to football.
